Why do people with no brains or imagination have to do such things to a car?

I mean, ALL they had to do was push in the little pipe holding clamp on the airbag, release the pipe and cable tie it back o_O

But noooo, they have to get all scrap yard on it's ass and cut, grind or feckin burn things

What I would do is get a loan of one with all the bits and take a picture of them then compare it to your car to see what's missing...

The bags themselves are a doddle to fit, but make sure the flat plate at the top is actually "flat" and not slightly pushed up like mine was (rears) as it took ages to figure out why I couldn't get the bloomin "R" pin to hold... I ended up using a long pry bar to force the plate down. I rather think it's a common weakness that the constant force pushes them up in the middle.

Here's where I put the pry bar...

and here's the bag in place ready for the car to be lowered... DO NOT inflate the bag before insertion

Should be able to get 4 Dunlop bags for around the £200 mark. If you're feeling REALLY plush then you can order Arnott from the States but you're talking serious money there.

Read the How To on the refurb kit as you've need the black nitrile rubber. You need a bit of air in the bag before you lower but just follow the How To.

You can get all 4 airbags (Dunlop) and the fasterners to mount it for around £250 on eBay. That is including VAT and shipping. If you need new airline there is a company (P38 Spares I think) that sell it for around £6 per metre. Which is a lot less than LR prices.

I've bit the bullet, ordered the new air bags and fitting kit along with repair kits for compressor and valve block. I'll let you all know how I get on....

By the way your rear discs and pads are knackered.

That photo was taken when I had just got hold of the car and was doing the work for the 1st time. Brakes were all replaced last year ;)

Brakes & tyres, for me, are MOST important. I've seen what can happen if one or other are left to fall apart :confused:o_O

I should be ok for pipe and connectors to be honest, from just having a quick look it seems to a mixture of 4 mm and 6mm.

6 mm OD mostly and a bit of 8 mm OD to drier and valve block.. Only 4 mm OD is on the exhaust from the diaphragm valve.

Well, I've changed all the air bags, rebuilt the valve block and compressor and now I've got a Range Rover that has no suspension. I've got the EAS unlock software and I've reset all the faults but nothing is happening at all. Any suggestions before I throw a gallon of petrol over it and set it alight.......

Does the compressor run?
Are you getting all the flashing lights?
Any faults on dashboard?

After a day of messing around I finally realised I was being daft, I did remove the bypass cable but it still didn't work so I went through the whole system from end to end and discovered that the relays and fuses had been removed. swapped some relays round and replaced the fuses and up she went......... Came back to the car later and its sat on its bump stops, read the codes and it tells me there is an issue with the rear right height sensor. At least it went up so I know it work to a point.

Now stupid question time, is it right as I look at the car from the front or as I sit in the car?

As sat in the car, sounds good, try putting it up then pull the self level delay timer relay under passenger seat and leaving it, it will show if you have any leaks on pipe work, if it still drops rear right might not be sensor.

Might be worth following the wiring for the rear right sensor and checking all connectors for corrosion before shelling out for a new sensor.

The other thing you migh try id swapping the sensors from side to side as then they are working on a different quadrent
