very easy undoing the shocks on both sides of the same axle jack the body up to let the axle drop but mind the brake pipes

related to springs, I think. In my MOT it had a provisary note saying rear shocks slightly corroded. Today I have noticed the rear is lower on the pass side than driver side on what seems to be level ground. Does this mean my shocks have gone, also are shocks and springs the same thing?
anyone else think this is sooooooooooooo stupid ?
springs are the round coiled things - shocks are the long ish tubular things, more often called dampers

maybe we being judgmental, perhaps it's broken long way from home, no chocks and only tools could they could get hold of.

all wheel were on the floor if the jack had of slipped where would it of gone, the land rover is on a 4inch lift so i could of prob stood under it still. what you cant see in the picture is the high lift jack lifting the jack up, the bottle jack is to push the axle down not the truck up.
didn't know you could get 8' high lifts
