After reading another thread on here regarding springs I went to check what's fitted to my 56 6A 5dr td4 auto. Does anyone know if these are correct as I'm struggling to find any info to confirm this

Orange and white are on the front and pink and white on the rear, measuring from hub centre to wheel arch I have approx. 45cm front and 47cm rear.

There a about 10 different spring types depending on year and spec. It sounds like it's normal hight to me.

My standard S 3 door has 46.5cm ish front and rear so sounds like yours is standard ride height.

Orange/white are 2.5t front springs for Td4/V6 Sport version

Free length 371.1mm. Pre 2006MY Sport springs had a free length of 308.5mm for comparison

Pink/white are 2.5t rear springs for Td4/V6 Sport version.

Free length 347.7mm. Pre 2006MY Sport springs had a free length of 311mm

So you have the stiffer higher Sport setup on your car as expected

Sorry to be stupid but are you saying that some Sport models are the same height as standard but have stiffer suspension. I have a 2002 ES with Sport decals on the side but because it doesn't look any lower I assumed it wasn't a proper Sport model.

So you have a lifted Sport without a lift kit!!
Sounds like a reasonable compromise to me.
Maybe I'll search for some of those springs too :)

Sport model came in with the facelift for 2004MY so a 2002 isn't a factory Sport variant!

And yes the later 2006MY Sport didn't have the lower ride height but did have stiffer springs

That makes sense, My 02 doesn't feel any stiffer than other Freelanders but has stickers on the side with 4x4 Sport on them. It also has 17" wheels but the spare is standard 16" so not sure what's going on.

Bit if badgerypokery me thinks. ;)
Sports were facelifts only, 30mm lower ride hight and 30% stiffer too.

Thank you for the that. I thought I had some oddball spring set up but you have put my mind at rest.:)

I might be wrong - but I can't recall any LR badging on the Freelander saying "4x4" or "4WD".

Probably just a marketing exercise, maybe by the dealer but here are some photos

It's not clear in the photo but it says Sport 4x4 on the side of the car too under the red part of the sticker.
Mind you it also says Supercharged beside the TD4. I wish. :p
