Got any tools with you to fit it yourself? Island 4x4 do next day delivery.
Good luck matey.

I'm sure you're a member of a recovery company (AA, etc)? If this was me, I'd call them, get the car recovered home and use their replacement hire car service. Then I'd enjoy the rest of my holiday and forget about it till I got home :)

If it's plastic the impeller can be practically non-existant or not spinning meaning the flow is vastly slowed. Better to change to a metal version. :)

Thought there was a connection.
Rad doesn't need to come out to do impellor does it? If not I'll do it myself when i get home

Been recovered and its on its way to Als who has already ordered the rad and will turn it round in the day. I might ask about the impellor...

Tnx all
Only a day ruined. Could be a lot worse!! :)

Why? Just out of interest?

Unless you have replaced it recently then no
But for the sake of few bolts while the rad is out wont do any harm that's the good thing about oring gaskets you can inspect and replace if the rubber isn't perished from old age unlike the paper type.
Did you not see the last water pump that was knackerd on the blown radiator thread.

Glad I could help Andy is a good chap

Nik,
there are a few guys in that part of the world with Fenders and Discos so if you can get a rad but not fitting it might be worth asking one of the LZIR guys if they could raise some help for you.

You are lucky just being in Dorset My radiator split when I was in Kazakhstan and had to get someone to make up an aluminium top tank for it.

even if it looks ok Change it!! mine looked perfect but you could turn the plastic on the shaft!!

Changed rad, stat (twice as bought cheap one first time) and pump. Since then I've driven to Belgium and back :crazy_driver:
