I've been given some speakers, 4, 6x9

I already have 2. 6x9 speakers in the head liner that sound rubbish cause there not enclosed, I'm going to move these to the rear and put them into boxs,

My question is will 6x9 speakers fit in the dash?

Where abouts are you thinking of putting them? In the normal place?

I would say no as they would be too big to go in the cover over the wiper motor

got dash cowlings and bulkhead - with wiper motor etc in the garage atm + some 6x9s .

will take some photos of them all together tonight - FWIW i dont think it will work - i was just gonna pick up some little 4" circle jobs to fit in there

Thought the wiper motor was at the top not at the bottom?

Where the speakers generally fit are the cover over the wiper motor, which is by the passenger knees. This unscrews quite easily, so you could look. I just don't think it has the width for 16x9s but I could be wrong.

A 100mm speaker fits in there (maybe a 120mm) I had to space mine out as the magnet hit the wiper motor. They won't fit in the normal place but might fit in a more creative place.

Anything can be made to fit.... But to put them in the std locations you'd have to build them out loads & it'd encroach on knee space etc.

Have a couple going on top of my dash... If I can settle on a console design I actually like.

Possibly by gearstick...?

Or maybe cubby box sides?

Didnt bother taking my 6x9s off shelf. Picked up the dash cowl and realised the speaker was twice the size of the dash piece the speaker fits in. You couldnt cut enough of it away......short of letting the magnet fix it to the dash after removing the panel totally :)
