Hi is there such a thing as a rear spare wheel carrier that could be used on a 88 soft top with a drop down tailgate Im sure ive seen one somewhere and now i cant find it

yeah. fits on the rear bulkhead

Thanks but thats what i have now i want to free the load bed up and hang the rear wheel on the tail gate, I remember there being one like the swingaways but designed for the drop down tailgate

The Army now seem to like them on the side, OK if you have a great big roll cage.

I have just fitted a swing away carrier to my series 3 . But I will be removing it this weekend because I consider it dangerous as the passenger cannot open the rear door from the inside, but not a problem to you on a open top with tailgate. It will be for sale cheep

I changed my rear door lock for the same reason, don't want to be locking anyone in from the outside.
