For confined spaces, IE the landrover I use a butane iron and I've taken to using solder splices on the landy. One of the previous owners was definitely a wiring butcher.
In the workshop is a solder station, and an antex 25W.
At the model railway club we have a Weller, my old Weller died probably 30 years ago.
At work we have maybe 20 soldering benches, fully rigged up with air extractors etc, the bench i occasionally use, has two solder stations and a pen iron, all set up with different tips.
I was lucky when work was forced by regulations to stop using lead solder, they gave away the old stocks, I got 3 large rolls.
