For Sale my Series 2a Landrover (1968)
Tax and MOT exempt :)
Runs, Starts and Stops as it should

I did post this before, but just prior to going into Lock down :( so no-one could come and view)

Good points:
Galvanised Chassis
200 DI Landrover Engine
New Cam Belt plus new belts
It starts first time even when it's been stood for a while
Over Drive
Free Wheeling Hubs
4 Wheel Drive and Low Range work as they should

Bad points
Needs new steering ball joint seals
Needs headlights and indicators sorting out (brake lights work)
Currently no heater

A general tidy up and it will be perfect.
Looking for offers around £ 5,500 OVNO

We are located on the Isle of Arran, easily accesed via Ardrossan, just west of Glasgow.
I have attached 4 short youtube links to show it starting and running, And 25 photos see below

I would have thought it was worth more than that. Even thought it's mot exempt, it's worth getting one done cos it will attract more punters.

Got to agree, I think you’ve under priced it. Get the few jobs done, a good wash or valet and it’ll fetch quite a bit more again.

Agree with the above, my first thought was galv chassis on a complete running s2 for 5.5k = underpriced.

Right qucik edit, for instant kerbside appeal you need to remove/rub down and paint them wheels, they will put lots of people off, and maybe some galvafroid paint rubbed sparingly onto the bumper and the rusty cappings.
So a few hours work and 50 quid in paint will get you quite a bit more money, if you dont do it then a dealer will and ask 3 to 4 times your selling price!

You need to check sold listings for a more accurate valuation. Live adverts aren't always the best guide.

I think that only applies to auction items, classified adverts less so?

Tbh I have found for the more expensive items people use ebay as an advertising media rather than for the actual selling, hence the reason lots of advetrs have pics of the sellers phone number and so on.

Unfortunately, location isn't the best from a selling point of view. Great for living, just not for selling :p

Thanks for all your comments, It's a great landie and I just wish I had the time to spend on it making it perfect, wouldn't take much.

Hi there, we're interested in getting a closer look at your 2a, as it might be the sort of thing we're looking for. Unfortunately we are many miles away at present but could well be in the area in the very near future, seeing my aunt in Stranraer. Would we need to bring a trailer?. Best regards.

Only due to the lights not currently working, other than that it drives fine.
