Ah, copy and paste worked (I used to just use the ‘upload a file’ button but that’s stopped working.

you can see on the pics where the blooming desk won’t stay on, it’s far from
Snug :(.

I’m still super confused about what bit of the metalwork is supposed to be bent -is there a flange behind the face ?

any pictures would be really helpful.

thanks again

Bob

I would pull the seal off and shut the tailgate and see which part of the flange has the biggest gap to tailgate and adjust that part.

Thanks… I’m still really not sure what I should be doing and Rave isn’t much clearer imho !

I think I have 3 areas of concern:

boot seal
-clearly not fitting

Sunroof
-not flush -high at front, low at rear, possible seals / adjustment / drains

heater matrix
-leaky o-rings drivers footwell soggy with coolant

if I can just get her watertight, I can deal with the more ‘mechanical’ and cosmetic bits…

Well, I’m finally getting some time to get round to this have new seals for boot and I managed to get a new genuine sunroof seal in the US.

Will update once I actually manage to achieve something !

Just a word or warning the lip that holds the sunroof seal can corrode beyond recognition, which itself can cause a leak usually the front corners of the headliner get wet and start dripping!

If yours is still sound a coat of paint would prolong its life before fitting the new seal.. :)

Sounds like a good idea !

How did you find fitting the new seal ? I hear it can be a pain

You need to remove the sunroof glass..

Not hard really put the sunroof on tilt and its just 4 bolts, hidden behind some plastic trim "usually" on either side of the sunroof glass
