Assuming the vehicle was on a level flat surfaced road, the measurements are valid. 1.5" difference on the rear is odd. The front seems too much difference too, though some manufacturers give approx a half inch longer spring for the driver's side / offside to offset the weight of the driver.
Springs and shocks are cheap for a land rover and an easy diy job. A standard set up should be an improvement and quite soft, police spec stiffer, and my personal favourite, old man emu (available in 3 ratings) a massive jump in money. A 90 will never ride as well as a 110 though.

Yes, the 90 when on level ground, always looks to be noticeably low on the nearside rear corner, but when on the move, I'm told that everything looks to be level. I run 28 front, and 38 rear, on Runway Endura 245 x 75 x 16.
Would it be as well to renew springs, shocks, singularly, or both on the rear of vehicle. also what suspension would be good for occasional normal light carrying at the back. Advise please. Regards Leemar
 
Always as an axle pair, especially with land rovers as so many parts are available, you'd struggle to match them up. With 245/75 tyres, I'm not sure if you can use standard oem ride height. Should be OK, anyone cawre to confirm?

With my 90, the rear nearside suspension is about 1-5 inches low, plus the front offside suspension is about 1-5 high, could this be because the low rear is cocking up the front offside, and by renewing, as you say, ( in pairs ), both rears, could this level the 90 up, all round.

Or, I have seen the Britpart 2 inch lift, light load setup, could this be a better allround option...

Finding it hard to disagree with cock up theory. The axles don't just float there, and movement / shock is being transferred through radius arm / trailing arm bushes and top mounts into the chassis. you may probably add in mismatched spring ratings and damping.

In my opinion which others may dispute:
Adding 2" may counter what you are trying to achieve. It will increase body roll, especially on a light setup. (Not owned a 90 since the 90s but don't remember having anti roll bars) It will increase noise from the propshaft ujs. It will increase pressure on suspension arm bushes. If I wanted to lift (and I probably wouldn't in a capable by design 90) , I would consider +1" as well as rock sliders etc as a happy medium. I wouldn't choose britpart either. You get what you pay for.
 
You say it feels dangerous, is your steering effected?

Hi , NO, the steering feels o/k for an 87, 90. Its just the look of the vehicle when standing parked up, there is a definite low point at the rear nearside corner, I have taken various measurements, and its pointing to possibly a weak spring, or shock, OR both.
I think that with the 245 x 75 x 16 tyres on, the 90 looks good, except for the noticeably low rear corner.
After looking though the very extensive history that came with the 90, I have found that some years ago, one spring, and shock, was fitted, but the invoice shows no position it was fitted at.
SO, should I fit new all round, OR renew just the rear springs and shocks, ADVICE PLEASE, from you very nice,( lick, lick :p ) people out there.
 
Well you can always do the fronts later. I know what I'd do, I'd buy a set of light duty old man emu, but my land rovers have been known to cause marital strain

Thanks for your reply Cooltide, ill go for renewing the rears first, see if that straightens up the rear nearside leaning.
Regarding your marital strain, mines ok, so long as its only me landrover I play with :(
