i always prefered rear wheel drive in snow.. with front wheel drive ya loose traction ya loose steering as well as drive...

not had enough snow so far to see how much fun the disco can be, yet...

:rolly:
Yep plenty of snow uphere and even a jack knifed lorry on Monday up by the Roaches. Don't think road had been gritted but by our return on Tuesday it was clear as a bell but plenty of snow on t'hills. Only problem we did journey in a Clio as the Defender is too newish lol.

If driven correctly RWD cars can be the Mutts Nutts for fun in the snow.

It's not about RWD "being driven correctly" its being able to drive it at all.

I'm the first to admit if I lived on a perfectly flat road with an open, flat car park nearby I'd be the first to go mess around and have some RWD fun, absolutely! But no matter who you are, I promise you that my 330Ci will not get out of our drive unless you fit winter tyres or snow chains - and for that reason, it is hopeless when it snows.

Come up here and see what having snow is really like !! !! With an avereage of 3 months coverage you get used to driving in it !! Automatic gearbox is no sweat either although they could have improved the design by putting a plough attachment up front or snow blower ! for those DEEP drifts .. but hell ,thats what i have a highland pony for .. he can climb them ... The Ultimate 4x4 !!
