have a x reg p38 diesel it is quite low on power for first 10 min of running once warmed up runs great no faults on nanocom showing

thanks Grrrrrr and wammers i thought it was ordered one up last night cannot do no harm to change it anyway while its stripped down

Yes, people blank it with a coin or similar but I'd just leave it.

Just clean the EGR valve out, it will more than likely be gummed up. Then disconnect the vac pipe to it and blank the end of the vac pipe with a suitable screw. No need to blank anything else.

If the glow lamps come on when the engine is cold, then do not come on when the engine is hot, little chance of the ECU temp sensor being faulty.

Glow lamps come on both when hot and cold

Do you have a hot fix fitted? If so glows will come on hot or cold. If you don't have one fitted ECU temp sensor has failed. If it has failed ECU uses a 50 degree preset.

I ordered the green one but it came in black the garage said it would only fit one hole think he said middle one

Wrong one, must be green the black one fits at the back of the head on 1999 and on cars to switch aircon fans on if there is an overheat. I gave part number of green one in an earlier post. No wonder it's gone tits up. First one behind pump is either brown (single pin no aircon) or blue (twin pin) if aircon is fitted. Next one is green ECU sensor. Next one is black overheat sensor.
