Gents,
I have a strange SLS issue that manifested itself a few days back with my 04 D2 TD5 (94k miles). Whilst driving the SLS amber light will come on and it will drop onto the bump stops. It will also trigger the bong but not always like today when it did it coming down the motorway at 60mph!
To get mobile I use the Nanocom SLS calibration function to reinflate the bags to a reasonable height and then the ORM switch to raise and drop back to normal ride height. It will then drive ok until it does it again which is currently anywhere between 5 and 25 miles.
What I have checked so far....

What I have checked so far....
- No faults stored in SLABS even when the SLS amber light has been on prior to connecting Nanocom
- New height sensor/plugs fitted several months back (inputs reading ok with Nanocom)
- All valves can be heard when operated with Nanocom although the Exhaust is quieter than the left/right
- Resistance readings for all 3 valves is 15ohms (taken directly on the coil pins)
- Compressor works fine, inflates bags with no issues but physically checked for water ingress/poor connections electrical/air and I cannot fault it
- No airleaks - bags stay inflated but have also checked with soapy water along with the various pipe unions (Conti bags so have been replaced at some point)
- Checked the SLABS for water ingress but it is bone dry - looks new
