Nice one. 200tdi is a great engine and I think ours are both in good nick :)

But mine is a 300tdi......So it must be 50% bettererererer right?? :p:p

Now how can I make mine faster..........must beat Flats 200tdi.........Mmmmmm, bigger intercooler?? NoS? Bigger turbo??:D:D

Cheers

Temporarily wind up the boost for a one off run would do it :D:confused:

Reckon I might have to, plus roll some coal... LOL

Cheers

Although in all seriousness, now I have realised yours is a 300 i am surprised how close the 2 are, I expected the 300 to be a touch faster just because it’s a smoother engine.

Also where have you tapped the boost gauge off of? I want to get one....

I have plumbed into the line. Between the turbo and the actuator.

How accurate is your speedo?

Cheers

Cool thank.

Not sure, have never compared it to anything, I have a garmin gps I can compare it to at some point though.

Will see what the garmin says when the speedo is at 100kmh - which SHOULD be 62mph

Use the "maximum fuel screw Luke"...
Equivalent of "the force"...Fark the environment!
More go, lots of smoke...yes!
You did say you like to play.

Pinned , ringed, fuel pump tweaked , but when excessive smoke turned back to stop it. Turbo pressure increased to 1.3 bar.

Am going to increase the turbo to 1.6 bar 24 Psi today . So will see how that goes.

Cheers

Wow I have done none of those things and mine is just as fast as yours......

I know, LOL.

Not sure if the 300 plus kilos of tools and kit in the back , winch and bumper , plus 285 75 16 tyres make a difference. But mine is much quicker than it was in original set up on pump.

I reckon you got a good one from std.

Cheers

Couple hundred kilos would make a difference though I think.

Also mine is a soft top so the lightest defender available.

The back was empty apart from basic toolkit and recovery gear

Maybe I should check my waste gate isn’t seized :/

Mate of mine with a Disco same as mine fitted a new factory 300Tdi long engine, VVT ex some Ford, big intercooler, pump tweak, all the good stuff, against my old bog stocker not a lot of difference, couldn't see the value in all the extra financial outlay and all the work, it was better, but just such a little.
Maybe the 265 tyres knocked the edge off it, I'm on 245's.

Finally gave this a go in my NA. 20mph in 5sec, 30 in 10sec, 40 in 16sec, 50 in 28sec. I should have pushed it to 55 in 4th but changed into 5th too early.

Standard 2.5na diesel 110, 1.4 t-box, 7.5x16 tires.

Lol, I struggled to find somewhere to support the phone so I just shouted the speeds. I’ll sort something better out and go again, hang on longer in 4th.

Lol yeah, that’s a 70kg weight saving ;) plus I emptied some of the rubbish out the back. Maybe I should have pumped the tires up more. I do have my spare mounted for aerodynamic advantage

I did drive a 2.5NA 110 once and I dont remember it being able to do 60, certainly not on the flat or up a slight hill. It was a well used farm one and I don't suppose it would have stayed on the road at that speed anyway
