The bolt holes may be the same number but the important measurement is the PCD. That is the pitch circle diameter. You may be better getting an engineering shop to check they are identical, if you can find one open.
The torque converter hole centers may also be different, It's a pointless exercise as the M51 flex plate is available for 50 quid or so.The bolt holes may be the same number but the important measurement is the PCD. The V8 flex plate is not the same as the diesel.
Possibly if the torque converter dimensions are the same.V8 P38 - V8 Disco is same I believe
