As the title says really, had some time on my hands so thought I would join the 'side exhaust' club
Got myself some flexi piping - 60mm internal diameter, and 500mm length for £15.00, and a tax disco holder for a motor bike (as has longer bolts and nuts on the end for the trim piece at the vast amount of around £4.00 delivered )
Went to work with the drill and angle grinder - cut off the back box, drilled out a hole for the exit - fitted the tax disc holder then used an old piece of 2.5 inch pipe I had left over from a decat pipe (another car project) for the new 'tail part' and jobs done.
I couldn't be bothered to weld up new brackets, so made some up out of some old strips of metal I had - attached one to the clamp and the rear bumper, and the other to the bracket for the mudflap.
All in all, about 1.5 hours from start to finish with a drink in my hand
Enjoy the pics...
