I've not dealt with a brake warning light (yet), so I think we might need some input from a certain Mr. @sierrafery please.

The red brake warning(named "Brake" in the attached table) should be part of the 3 amigos(so actually 4 amigos) all the time according to the built in warning protocol but in reality it comes on only on crytical open circuit or short circuit to ground/supply of one monitored part or on complete lack of wheel speed sensor input on self test,.... if the 4 amigos came on after the SVS mod and the fault code is still SVS related IMO you did something wrong there

Thanks. Waiting for a suitable chance to get the codes read again. Meanwhile when I get some time in the daylight and dry i'll check the wiring to the SVS. Before I did the modification I only had the 3As whereas i've now gained the brake light. I'm guessing if one of the wires wasn't connected properly that could be the open circuit!

So... today its been dry, and I had a change to look under the bonnet. Noticed the electrical connector on the side of the ABS Module didnt appear to be fully pressed in. Pushed it in, turned the engine on, and no amigos!
Thanks for the help everyone! Moral of the story = don't reconnect up the electrics late in the evening when its getting cold, dark, and a beer is waiting!
