After much research I have decided to take the plunge. You purists are going to rage....

I have found a set of 20" Range Rover Sport wheels at a reasonable price, and have the 5x165 - 5x120 PCD adapters ready to order, along with wheel nuts and spigot rings. Purely a Summer wheel set for on-road use only.

Before I do push the button, could you Landyzone folks post pictures of your wheels (and note wheel/size plus tyre make/size). If I am to be persuaded away from the ponce-wheels I would have to see a very tasty alternative setup. Show me what you have....

My current wheels....

Why the hell are you putting RR wheels on a Defender? Nothing about being a purist its just as ridiculous putting them on a Micra or a Focus. You'll look like a Chelsea Tractor idiot or one of those vomit inducing monstrosities that Kahn ****s out.

Your 90 looks exceptionally nice as is, perfectly contrasted. If you want more comfort out of it then buy some Sawtooths or the new Boost alloys with some proper road tyres.

They are what I would like on my Defender with the new Cooper STT PRO in the same size.

Currently have standard silver Boost alloys with Cooper Discoverer STT 265/75/16 tyres with 30mm spacers.

Anthracite ZU's with 265/75x16 BFG AT's.

Anthracite Sawtooth with 265/75x16 Cooper ST Maxx.

If your really set on forking up a 90 could we do a swap first and you can cock mine up and I'll drive away in a lovely example of the mark.:):);)

Don't do it, just don't! Out of curiosity, what was the "much research"?

Research on how to get them fitted - many people ask if it's possible to fit one type of wheel or another, rather than ask if it is possible I looked into how to do it then decided whether I might want to do it.

I think cars like the G55/63 pull off the street wheel on boxy 4x4 rather well and, having lived in the Middle East for 15 years seeing them on the streets (as common as a Defender in Devon!) I got used to the look.

Having said that, I do like the look of the sawtooth above.

I still like the look of a well sorted Defender on 20's though...

I'd say go for it, I've always loved the idea of a set of range rover sport wheels on a defender, its something I would definitely do if I had a county station wagon or van at standard ride out, just don't think they would suit a lifted pick up as much but oh well!

Ive got a set of disco 2 wheels with steel spacers and new wheel nuts if your interested going up for sale. They are the ones in my avatar 《《《《《《
