Ye it was, few things to he done all windows don't work, first gear switch is shot and need overflow tank replaced. Suspected hg failure but a bottle of steel seal sorted that (I know I'm gonna get a dose of abuse now) Other that it drives perfect. As I said a bit wallowy but I suspect that it might be a just freelander

That crap causes more problems than it solves. Get it out and do the job properly, before it blocks all the small coolant ways in the head.
All the parts I need are coming today so should have it sorted over weekend. Was gonna flush out the cooling system anyway a bit of scum floating inside and gonna put new coolant in

If it's cracked, then that will give HG symptoms, even if the HG is fine.

I love all the dogs in the back pic Devonguy, I take it yours is a 3 door? My fat ass Malamute takes up the entire boot area in my 5 door on his own!

Yup, it's a 3-door, now has the rear dog guard as well. Plenty of room for 7 mixed gundogs!

Fat ass, more commonly known as Bear, he takes up half a king size bed to himself given the chance!
I think I might need to swap my Freelander for a Discovery to fit anything besides him in the back.

I've done a some engine mods like the breather filter, and shhhhhh Exhaust Gunk Regurgitation unit changed, I replaced injector seals, removed the manifold which I degunked and cleaned out, then the engine bay next is the intercooler pipes, and all the trim and roof is sprayed with bed liner, it runs faster and smoother now with a increased mpg. But still has more problems showing up faster than I can fix lol.

Thanks! I live close by so it's a usual haunt for me and yes,the helford, I was helping a friend retrieve his tender whilst giving the new engine a bit of a work out up the slipway :). We should meet up for a green lane at some point?

I do a bit of boating myself from time to time so I know what that's all about. I'll drop you a PM about a green lane trip sometime. I'd be keen. A guy I work with has a TD4 the same as mine and would be up for it too. Would be good to get a few Cornish Freelanderers together. I wonder if @Nodge68 could be tempted to come out to play? What say you John?

Sounds good to me, I live near Camborne, where do you work?

No problem.

As long as it suits the boss, then no problem.

I'm only running standard road tyres these days, so prefer to avoid thick mud, and can't stand the clean up afterwards. :(

There's a couple of lanes down west that I want to explore though. ;)
