I got offered this Series 3 (??) 88 Pick-Up
that was used as recovery truck.


Price is good but concerns are:
- They put a Toyota diesel engine years ago
- I imagine the chassis was modified/reinforced in order to handle the weight from the mini crane?


Pass or smash?

Look like a S2a bulkhead and dash set up?
If the price is as you say good, then buy it and have some fun.
 
it would come to around 4000€, digging around I was told in case of a future resell it would have less appeal not having a LR engine

I wouldn't overly worry. When it has a recovery crane attached folk are less worried about "out of the box" originality.
