Hi all
I was gonna buy a TD4 freelander about £2000 but now am looking at TD5 disco about the same price. do disco 2s rust as bad as 1s seem to and where should i look for the dodgey bits. I seem to keep coming across freelanders with blown turbos that rev the nuts out of the engine :eek: I need serious help here. I am gonna buy one of them ( or a nice japanese copy :violent: ONLY JOKING ;) ) What do ya think ?
 
At a budget of 2k look for a half decent 300TDi, use the rest of your cash to make her right.
 
It's a no brainier really no one should buy a gay lander unless you like taking your vehicle to a dealer and being robbed !!! They are also useless off road , and on road really !! Td5 much better for longevity and reliability, although still prone to some annoying faults if not properly maintained !!! Beware !!
