Just as part of general improvement I was thinking of replacing my shock absorbers. ( Have never done so before : surpised to see amazing differences in cost ranging from £50 per unit to £85 per ser of 4 ( Island 4 x 4 Britpart.)
Any advice on what to get and any probs replacing ?
 
Boge OEM - around £100 + VAT from Island 4x4 for a full set.

In terms of fitting, I didn't have any issues at all with mine.
 
Same advice from me; I changed using Boge's from Island.

You need 18mm socket and spanners that aren't in all tool sets and watch out for damaging the air lines along the rear chassis. Search this forum, there's quite a few other threads I found when lining myself up to do it. As others have said, I found it helped but didn't eliminate tram-lining.
 
Terrafirma (Allmakes) have worked well on mine, close to oem characteristics, TF125/TF126.
 
fitted the Boge to mine about 6 months ago, very please with them. I'm no mechanic and I found it a simple job to do.
Just whack the air suspension up onto high, leave the tailgate open and crack on. I had no reason to jack the car up managed to do the job with all 4 wheels on the ground. Only took a couple of hours to do all 4 shocks.
The only thing you may need is some thing to grip the body of the shock if it's been on there for a few years. I used an oil filter wrench, the type that uses a rubber strap, worked a treat.

With stands under each corner of the car of course - airbags are most likely to pop on high as cracks in the folds get stretched beyond their normal range.
