It had 4 matching. The rear nearside went 1st that was replaced with a new one. (Prev owner) Then the front n/s was borderline legal when i got it so a new was put on (pirelli scorp zero) rest are some cheep nexus things. Iv got 28/38 in at the moment. Ideally 2 tyres are needed soonish so mot end of next month.. think a set of general grabber at's will be what to do. They are 255 60 18 at the moment would that make much of a difference over 55s?

Nexen are way better than Scorpions IMO and they come out better in the EU tests:p
All cars with permanent 4WD should have 4 tyres of the same brand and wear level.

Okay so 4 tyres before i narrow anything else out. Youve seen the likes of the farm and the mud there so thaught mabye the grabbers would give it more chance. Since a full set would be done better off going on 55s insted of 60s?

Handbook says 18" should be 255/55 and 16" should be 255/65.

I've used General Grabber ATs with no issues. Mind you, I had no issues with the Scorpions either. Vredstein winter tyres were noisy as hell. I had Maxtor or something at one stage. They were OK. Currently I'm using something like Nexen RU1s, I think. Only got them at the weekend off a member on here and cannot quite remember but they're OK. Fields weren't that muddy at the weekend though.

Yeah dont know why its on 60s dont see it making much odds but it may.

Will affect the speed reading but doubt much else. Potentially the extra weight will cause excessive wear on the drag links and track-rod ends but they'd have to be on a long while.

I've seen oversize 19" tyres on them though and they still drive fine, even with the wheels off an L322 and turned down nuts and spacers. :)

According to local speed sign things my speedo is bang on no room for error at all. Mabye it was put on to keep it boat like on springs or someone was on a budget somewhere. Got a pal hes got a set of hurricane wheels (but in black how would it look :/ ) 4tyres 60s within 2mm of eachother so for ease might just throw them on.
