My landy actually passed it's MOT this year - NO ADVISORIES !!

I didn't have to take out a second mortgage again !!

I even asked the garage if they were playing a cruel joke on me ;)

Do other series owners ever feel surprised if they see a pass certificate?

I almost got away with it, it failed, but only on a spring eye bush and dodgy washer jets, was still flabbergasted though!

I took it to one of those Nationwide (now owned by Halfords) quickfit style places .... because they are currently offering MOTs for £27. They previously passed an old Fiat 126 I had (don't ask) that was a death-trap...and a Range Rover Classic I had that was held together with rust.... maybe it is just my local Halfords/Nationwide branch that likes old cars....!

Took my mondeo to one of those. It left with ****ed piston rings and ****ed head. It went in running perfectly.

Never again. Don't have a clue what they did or if it was just pure coincidence, but, i'd rather pay a bit more and get someone who knows what they are looking at to do it.
