Looking at returning back to wales in couple weeks and wondered if any one knew if the seven sisters byway is, or will be open? and any pointers on it.

Cheers

why dont you post in the greenlane section. you may get more answers. Which part of the byway do you require info on? the Banwen - coelbren route is now permenently closed whilst the sarn helen route continuing north from coelbren is still open.

any help?

Cheers for the advice will move the post.

Because we not done it before i not grasping what you mean,
Is the lane done in different sections, we prob going to head to the north end first and work our way down, is it clearly defined what parts you can and cant do.

It doesn't sound like you know the actual route that this lane takes? if you don't then I suggest you get a set of OS 1:50,000 maps that cover the whole of the route and very carefully plot it out on the map. As there are hundreds if not thousands of lanes crisscrossing the route you're planning and not all are Boats. or Orpa's And you could very easily end up somewhere you shouldn't be.

Well when you mentioned seven sisters, there are 2 main byways which run through/near there. the one running from the neath valley toward the north is closed. clearly defined by big boulders blocking the path. once out of the valley up ontop of the hill there is the sarn helen byway running out to the east toward Brecon.
