Not got a clue when it comes to engines, I think that sounds good, here is mine I think mine sounds good too, this was when I was trying to sort front pulley out, think ive sorted it now.

Presume that's cold.. sounds nice and quiet

Sounds a bit tappety but nothing serious. Mine does the same - if you run it for few seconds and then stop then restart mine goes away suggesting oil pump either gunged up or worn. As I do so few miles in it I’ll leave it until it’s warmer to drop the sump. Try checking tappet clearances first
 
Agree with kermit in both cases, my 21/4 petrol was very quite at tick over with most of the noise from carb throat.
 
Try running it without oil. They ain’t used to being covered with orible slippy stuff inside. Much better with a few pints on the floor underneath.
