Hi everyone
I’m very new to the wonderful world of series land rovers having taken delivery and my very first drive on Saturday. I’m slowly finding my way round my series 3 2.25D and working out what to do to it. I was wondering how long it should take for the starting/glow light to come on? Mine takes about 30seconds which seems a long time but might be normal??

Depends some on how light it is outside but mine is visible on a bright day in just a few seconds.

That’s what I was thinking. 30 seconds seems too long to me and wondering if I can do something to improve the performance

Could try some new plugs or at least have a look at the old ones to check condition.

There is no timer as such, but if there is a point of high resistance in the system like a poor connection or on the way out plug then it can take a few seconds before the indicator bulb gets bright enough to see. 30 secs something is duff.

A photo showing what you have fitted would help are they original type or later parallel type. [Only one nut holding the wire not two seperate ones ]
