A safari roof is still one of the larger parts I need to source, mainly so I can leave the dog in the Landy if need be, plus they look cool. Haven't managed to find one close enough to collect though!
Cleaned, rebuilt, painted and assembled the two propshafts over the last few days, the first work on the project for a long time. Just got to tighten up the 16 fixing bolts and fit the sliding joint grease nipples and thats another job ticked off the list and the parts cleared off the bench where they have been sitting for around 6 months since I took the apart!
Don't know, prices vary. However this is not the problem as at even the highest end of the price range it is getting it up here that costs.
At the moment I am a long way away from needing one but if one came up I would grab it. I cannot get the Series out of the workshop door with the roof on anyway so it cannot be fitted until the very last minute of the build.
I want one simply because I have been fitting just about every period upgrade I can find when doing the build, plus it means I would have a full length headlining (no more rain inside) a bit of sound deadening and I can more easily leave the dog inside when hot or cold outside.
