Sorry had to start a new thread because I wanted to run a poll on the big question. What colour? ive decided to run a pole to see what the community think
option 1 my father loves the vintage original, as it is now, and thinks she will hold her value

option 2 shall we repaint her in the original Deep Bronze Green

I'd personally give it a good clean and see what you've got, I love the worn look (patina if you want to get technical :) ) provided there is no rust I'd keep it as is.

That being said, I have no idea what mine has been painted with (whatever was cheapest at the time I expect) and it's peeling off revealing various colours so I'll be repainting in Bronze Green.

I have given the bonnet a good wash and it is a patch work of a old light green paint under a flaky dark green paint my dad loves it and I hate it

I like that, it looks worked :)

That being said, it's your Landy so if you hate it then it's your choice to change it.

If your worried about resale value then keep everything as original as possible, if not then paint it whatever colour you feel like.

I personally think this looks awesome (nicked off Google images):

You'd need to spray it though, silver would look naff if you rollered it.

If brushing/rollering I'd go for bronze green or safari from paddocks - seems to get good reviews.

I am his younger brother (13) and I am the one that does all of the work. He is an idiot of course the colour should be left as it is. :D

Yep think it looks good, thinking this colour for mine but see my next post

Mine is mainly black, but after a solid power wash it reveals many colours, I have sanded small patches back to bare metal. I also sanded back to bare metal a heavy duty front bumper which I purposely left to rust (just surface) and I quiet liked it (rat look) I am now toying with the idea of doing the same all round on bits that will rust and then clear coat the whole vehicle...........
