Hi
Has anyone used a double cardan joint on a series 2a?
Im trying to fix some drive line alignment issues.
Not having any like finding a double cardan that will fit on the rear output flange of the transfercase
Thank you

Td5 disco one no good?
You can get custom props made.

Google Gwynlewis4x4, makes some amazing kit.

Here in the UK I have had propshafts made to suit my trials cars. Canada is a big place so you are likely to be a long way from anywhere that could make one.
What are your alignment issues ? Series Land Rovers are pretty simple things, dodgy rear chassis welding ?

I have a 200tdi in it. Front driveshaft is okay. But the parabolic springs have lifted the rear up enough to cause alignment issues.
The double cardan joint on later rovers has too large a diameter flange to fit on the rear output flange of the transfer case.

I was going to post make one flange from old and new one, but then remembered rear sereis flanges are silly money compared to the rest of them!

Contact that Gwyn I mentioend above, the price might scare you, but at least you will then know if it can be done or not.

How much has the prop shaft angle changed?

It might be worth checking to see if the prop slider is correctly orientated, there's guidance in the ROM, I believe the yokes need to be out of phase slightly. There's are arrows on the prop, so with checking these.

Otherwise correction wedges can be fitted to the spring perches on the axle, these cant the axle so that the flanges are aligned better.
