need help with this question please? Top of the windscreen where truck cab roof sits. I took the roof off and noticed there is no rubber seal between top of windscreen and roof, where does the rubber seal sit? How wide is the rubber seal? As it looks that I could fit 2 seals side by side? Cheers mark

I am not certain there is a rubber seal.
A look at an exploded diagram in a parts book or manual would confirm.
If you are worried about it, just get some single sided adhesive foam tape, and make one. You can get is in different widths from RS onine, or other stockists.

There should be a seal, about 6mm thick there.
I have the seal but I’m not sure where to fit the seal? I have placed the seal so that the nuts and bolts go through the seal but then there is a gap at the front of the roof to the windscreen. It just don’t look right?

It sounds like there is no seal fitted to your roof at all, you could either fit a complete seal or lift the roof and put a thick bead of silicon round the roof and refit but a seal would be better :)

Seal goes forward of the bolts on normal roof so would think it is the same..

Yes, the seal is a thick neoprene type seal that sits on forward of the bolts on the lower ledge closer to the front of the screen.

I've always put a dollop of silicon on the seals aswell just incase the seal doesn't seal :)
Nice one Turboman, I wouldn’t of thought use silicon. Cheers Trumar
