No problem . I tried to get a pic of my series with the bmw in it but phone battery was to low and wouldn't let me take it bloody techno crap .
Lot's of information there to think about. I might just start with the timing chain and see where that takes me but, thanks for all the detailed information. You certainly know these engines and your way around them.
Cheers.
There's always one .
It is indeed .P's I was not spouting anything I was giving a rough guide to the kinda thing involved and at the end of my post I put it's not an exact text book description and be sure he understood what he was getting in to before pulling bits off .This is true, your description of how to time the injection pump was utter nonsense. But carry on. It is best to know what you are talking about before spouting off i do you obviously don't.
bloody techno crap .
Nice one cheers my friend .It ll be back on the road soon tearing up the tarmacI like the look of your series.

Well there you go and if you read my post I said turn the engine the right way to take up any slack in the chains before setting or checking and off the top of my head I don't remember the values that's why I said make sure you understand what your doing . So yes I do know what I'm doing and you don't need all the fancy tooling but you do need the pump adapter and dial gauge the rest you can get away with .You may well follow the book to the letter but the book can't and won't beat experience of which I have plenty trucks tractors cars excavators dozer s etc done them all .
Go away I've better things to do with time .
Yes yes yes blah blah blah .get on with your life and grow up .
