Hi, I have a seized hand accelerator which I can not budge I have sprayed it over and over but can't get it move any thoughts!

Dry cable connection to the carburettor? They don't get used often! Check the linkage all the way, liberal WD40. I move mine occasionally to ensure it's working. My MOT garage use it as a surrogate choke, which is annoying when you start and don't know it's set. Q - do you really need it? It's an optional extra which is an artefact of vehicle order. Always think it's a silly feature unless it's justified by a reason for static work. Bit pointless if there's no PTO to justify a static choke let alone an oil cooler. So, why keep it? Authenticity and vehicle provenance ?

If it is the later black triangular version loosen the clamp off For the lever and knock the pivot out to clean it up.

The person who decided that down by the passenger footwell [series three] was the place for the hand throttle must have had a weird sense of humor.o_O

We always used to mess about with that - wind up the duty driver

Yes just fitted mine to bulkhead and that’s how it went in lifted at an angle till through

Got it going in the end I had to take it to pieces, it was always handy if I wanted to jump start another vehicle if there was nobody else at hand, we had a similar thing on the old Bedford TK,and on a man 8150, beats looking around for something to jam on the accelerator.
