When you see how much crap the fuel sedimenter traps, you'll know why you need one.


Im beggining to see that now, the gutting thing is I had a perfectly functioning one sat on my old chassis and sent it to the scrapper with the old chassis!! GGRRRRR:mad:

So why doesnt my mates 1996 300tdi defender have one??

Everybody, when talking about the importance of the sedimenter, asks that question and I don't know why it doesn't.

I do know that it catches a load of rubbish that would otherwise be dragged forward and into the fuel filter.

Fair play, after reading this thread im def gona get mine sorted, and service it on a regular basis!! Im hating the old rust bucket being off the road at the mo!!! Got my new sills turn up today, so will be starting surgery this weekend, then sort the sedimenter out once I got an MOT on her!:D
