Hello guys,

I would like to replace the bolts on the hinges and hood since the ones i have are the standard one that any fool with a screwdriver can take out - do you have any that you can recommend? please confirm also the size needed for a 1995 Defender

To be fair you don't need security bolts at all, a rubber mallet will do the job nicely.

Batter every panel to within an inch of it's life with the rubber mallet so they are all dented and not in an "easily straightened out" way.

They don't nick them ones, no money in an old beat up door, bonnet or wings ;)
 
nice idea! I would still prefer to go with the security bolts - more than being worried for them nicking the doors or bonnet, I wouldn't want them to get in the car/engine as easily :)

@AI2O3 what do you mean by Merkin hood?

Honestly here they wouldn't steal the hood/doors but the car altogether - I am putting a few securities just in case..

@bluebeasty what do you mean by the second one? the door hinge on ebay or the ones for the hood?

Merkins is short for Americans
Hood is what the merkins call a bonnet.
 
ahah I get it now - the landy is british hence if we were to speak like americans it wouldn't bond well with us :)

DOOR HINGES: Nice as these have a head that needs a special screw driver to open. The auction says --> These Parts Are Metric And Suit Later 1998 Onwards Defender. Can Be Used On Earlier Models To Replace 5/16UNF Parts If The Correct J-Nuts And Plain Nuts Are Used --> what does it mean?
BONNET: I guess are compatible with all Defenders or they come in different sizes?

Mine is a 1995 110

The door security screws, much better than a plain torx.
