Does anyone know of any seats from other vehicles that will fit my series 3 1984 which will make my journeys more comfy preferably ones that will fit straight in

thanks

lots will... we have some renault espace seats here that we were going to fit in our 110, but never bothered - going to go down the half-bucket route instead.

you'll need to mess about a bit to fit any non-landy seats though as they fit a bit wierd in the first place.

when i said straight in i dont mind a bit of alteration but not a total rework thanks for the idea mate

yeah, the most you'll need to do is make a bit of a frame... if you dont mind doing the original sliders over a bit, you could most likely get them to fit onto them and be removable reasonably easily.

on the bottom of them is basically a plate of metal where they originally attached to the captain swivelly things, so they'd be easy enough to bolt/weld to a frame

you can have them if you want :) youll need to pick them up though...

no prob.... if you know of anyone that could pick them up and pony them down to you then go ahead :)

sort of just removed the landrover sliders put the seat where i wanted it and drilled the to fit big plates under the seat box and that was it easy for me as no fuel tank in the way!

Just swapped the runners over.

Thought about rover and cav seats but then i found the hyundai ones.

They look better than the aftermarket leather land rover ones!

That sounds like the sort of thing I'm after. I'm feeling a trip down to the scrappers coming on :)
