I initially started this thread to see how many people wanted to do both weekends plus give a chance to go for those that couldn't make the 31st.

Thanks for volunteering to lead short round & BoomerV8. I will lead a group if needed but my local knowledge of the Salisbury plain area is a little limited. I do have memory map on a notebook in the 90 so if anyone can give me some help with routes I'm happy to lead.

Cheers

 ummm!!!!! i was'nt acually vollunteering myself as i ain't got any knowledge of getting around the plains myself. i'm more of a sheep really happier following someone else lol :D

OK no worries, ammended.

I'm happy to lead a group, I will tie up with WLM as I am looking to use this weekend to refresh my memory of the route that Badger lead us on last time out ready for the following weekend.

Cheers Mud-4-it, I think i can remember the route you're talking about as I was in the same group as you last time. The 1st byway was a very long straight one.

That's the one, the starting point was fairly close to the car park in which we all met up in the morning. I'm fairly confident that I can find that route again and with a bit of map reading the second as well.

Perhaps we should meet up a few weeks prior to the trip to refresh memories?
I'm hoping to take some time off in January with a view to setting aside a few days for planning/recce trip

I would happily come down for a reccy trip but January is almost certainly a non starter for me, six week month straight after xmas and all that. Weekend of Saturday 11th or Sunday 12th Feb would be possible for me.

Shall we start another thread for those that cant make the 24th or 30th March but can make 11th or 12th Feb, right who's willing to lead

If you don't mind me tagging along

Yeah 24th was a bit of a recce trip and also a chance for those that couldn't do a week later to still get out.

Forgive me for asking but would this be a suitable event for me to pop my off-roading cherry?

I have a standard Disco with Grabber AT2s.

Cheers,

Andy
