Right, thats it! Had enough of it now.
Ended ebay listing few weeks ago as family people carrier failed MOT, First day using the RR as daily and its starts messing about. Locked Mrs out in Tesco car park with Engine Disabled message. She abandoned it til I could get there and put EKA in. Hadn't had to do that since I first bought it.
Traction failure and ABS failure lights on. Clear fault (Rear left hand sensor short to another sensor 012 times) and initially lights would go out. Now on constantly. Changed sensor for a known good one, still same error comes up. Also now showing 0.000 volts input to front left sensor.

Then whilst trying to resolve this notice it has another diesel leak. Cant see where its coming from and quite frankly couldn't give a s##t! Not spending any time or effort on it any more. Really just want it gone (sure its just because I'm cold and tired......but....)

Still drives nicely though haha. So would rather it went to someone on here who is gonna show it some love and sympathy. So first serious 4 figure offer gets it.
Also Nanocom and SyncMate up for grabs, again before I put them on Ebay.
Cheers.

What RF receiver has it got? That's what did mine in in car-parks until I upgraded. That'll drain the battery too and cause all sorts of ****.

Later years post 99 seem to have a bit of an issue with ABS ECU. Could just be a wire shorting though.

Cheers guys.
Battery was new few months ago ( biggest one that will fit, the one recommended by Wammers at the time) still showing 13.8 v on nanocom when engine running. But will stick it trickle charge for a few days.
Sadly, I need it gone for finances. Need the money for business reasons. Otherwise I wouldn’t be getting rid. (Endless trouble do get tiresome though, haha)
Yes I’ll regret it no doubt, but needs must.

13.8V is standard alternator output on oil burner and not enough if battery is calcium one. Standard lead only or it will poison the battery.

Thanks again for everyone’s input and advice.
I’ve made the decision not to put any more time, effort or money into it. It already owes me a fortune so selling it cheaper is hardly going to make any difference, haha. Put a small fortune into it over last few months, as I’m sure you all have too on yours, but can’t justify it at the minute.
Have still loved driving it, and will be sad to see it go, was a real bit of luxury compared to my previous Trooper, but needs must. Hasn’t put me off and hopefully when circumstances allow, I’ll be back with another shed, asking for your kind help, and yet again ploughing money into one.......
Gonna go before I cry :(.......:D

Brave decision.

??? Less than £16 for a regulator and disconnect the aerial (bluewire) from the r/f receiver, lock it with the key or operate the remote close to the o/s rear window and see how it develops

I hear why you are saying, but my point is where do I draw the line and say enough is enough?
Every penny I spend on it now, not to mention my time, is more money I’m not going to get back on it. I have already considerably spent several times the value of the car on it.
But for the sake of £16, yes I probably will change the reg and see what it does, but I’m not convinced it will solve the ABS /Traction issues, it would appear to me, armed with the diagnostic results, that it’s an Ecu or wiring issue, and if that’s the case, I’m not spending anything else on it.
Cheers.

My mates misses one didn’t even have plaster, just painted lining paper over the boards
Lego be blooming expensive...even more than the paper ones! :D

If you bought it as an investment....to get more back... you must be pi***d by now :D

:D Haha, think I was probably p****d when I bought it. Done far to many projects to think I’d make money on it, but hadn’t planned on having to sell it quite so soon.

We were all high on desire. Took me 2 years and a shed load of cash to get her near right.
