That’s the new footwell in, but it doesn’t seem to sit as well as the other side did. Not sure why, but it will work anyway. More welding to do...

looking good atleast yours is indoors im fighting wind and believe it or not too much sun light as my mask keeps shutting off, wishing i bought a series or defender so many more panels and repair sections around for them compared to the disco

Yeah, it does make a real difference especially when in your case you have weather issues on top of the rust issues!

Just let in a section where the wiper spindle hole was rotten, then drilled a new hole..... a bit of a pig to make to be honest.

Great work, when I did my footwells cutting out as much as yours I used some UPOL PU tiger seal around the joints
Once painted looked good

Thanks very much. It is a bit of a challenge and I’ve had to walk away a few times tbh! I have bought some seam sealer and was planning to seal the lot just prior to paint. I bought some stuff out of Toolstation called Puraflex 40. I have used it before and I think it is pretty good for the money.

Starting to see a real difference now. Time to take the bulkhead off the chassis and finish the bits and pieces that were awkward to get to while it was on the chassis.

Some more corrosion to deal with! I phoned YRM and I reckon they have everything I need. The list so far, sills, ‘b’ pillar repair sections, ‘c’ pillar repair sections, tub crossmember and second row seat box end panels. Just need to convince my wife it’s a good idea to buy them....

Looking good amazing the amount you can get done when majority of life is on hold to the joy of a pandemic. Just tell the Mrs they are essential bits or order them and say they were on a good deal :D I'm lucky my Mrs has said if the money is there order away love the fact shes into land rovers as well makes it so much easier. Getting extremely jealous of your workshop though;)

Ok, so the bank balance has been hit badly today....... Just ordered o/s and n/s sills, ‘b’ post and ‘c’ post repairs, seals, retainers, bolts etc for the Series 3 from Ronnie at YRM. Also bought some new old stock, bare second row doors from Marc at Ex Mod. Can’t wait to get them. I’m Like a kid in a candy store waiting for it to open :D
