Hello all

i have a 1953 serirs 1 with a rover p9? engine in it. is this a common conversion? and how hard is it to get parts?

thanks craig

The P9 Rover was to meant to evolve from the Rover P6BS. Neither model got to production level. The P9 was only ever a scale model !!!!!!.
I think that you will probably have a P6 Buick derived lump that sat in the Rover Saloon from approx '68 to '75.
A lot of parts are in common with SD1 and early RR.

I have seen the engine in Craig's Seies I. It is a straight six Rover engine, I don't know anything about a P9 apart from the experimental Rover P9 that I looked up on the net.

it is a straight 6. would a the sd1 clutch fit it. the car has been sitting round for a while and i cant get it in any gear.

Try the Rover P5 club website, they may be able to help.

If it has been sat arround then you need to free the clutch up as it will have got stuck
