Hi all
Did a search on this but there is so much stuff its confusing.

Rusty hole in bottom of drivers side A and BC posts.
Can these just be filled or is there a water drain in them somewhere
Sorry if this has already been covered

That dosent sound good
Will I get a shock
PS holes are on the outside bottom of the posts-you see them when you open the doors.

Take the sill trim off then take some pics and post them up here. Also, get a good sized screwdriver and poke at the bottom of the sill. I just welded by rusty sills and the bottom of the A and B posts do tend to go lacy too.

Make sure the outside of the bottom of the posts are water tight otherwise the footwells will get flooded. I have the same with mine - tis the last bit if welding I have left after doing rear floor, both inner wings, front passenger side footwells et. al.

you might get lucky and find this...

The holes need to be clear or the A post fills with water. The same happens if they get blocked, which happens quite easily as the holes are a bit small.

Like the other poster says, best to get an idea of the overall condition before you dive in. Whats the inner sills, boot floor and rear cross member like? Oh and inner wings

Thanks for the replies
I have asked a mechanic to check it over for its NCT here in Ireland(similar to MOT in UK)
And will pass on his thoughts
Cheers

Fookin hell beast, ta you've made me day, I thought mine was bad, it took me a while to work ouy which bit is was, wow, phew and so on

If its a small hole in the post - kill the rust and epoxy putty

If its any bigger - a gallon of 4 star and a box of swan vesta

Morning all
The holes are quite small-maybe inch and a half-and only on the outside skin and only on drivers side
