G GDM Active Member Feb 5, 2013 #1 I need to replace some of the u/js on my front propshaft, can I run the car without it for a day or two, without fear of damaging the front diff? Just realised, without a centre diff lock that isn't going to work! Please excuse my stupidity. Last edited: Feb 6, 2013

50 pence New Member Feb 6, 2013 #2 What year is your car ?. It may have the cdl fitted and you just need to turn the spigot to lock it.

Here's a pic of a transfer box with the spigot arrowed: The spigot has two flat faces on it to grip and turn it. Once it's in diff-lock a light will come on the dashboard. Good luck Dave

Bemmy Active Member Feb 6, 2013 #5 GDM, If its any good to you i ran my Tdi 300 for 2 weeks on & off with no front prop', just put the diff' into the left position H' and your diff light should appear on your dash, otherwise you won't budge. good luck Bemmy
