SLAPPERS RULE OK!!!!

What is the best way to filter Used Cooking Veg /Rape Oil???

I can get hold of a decient 240v Pump and am thinking of setting up a filter system in my garage.

On the draw pipe from the old oil I will be fitteing a strainer at the end of the pick up, but then I am going to put 2 inline bowl type filters with renewable cartriges, the question is what micro should the first and second filter be to get a good quality clean oil out???

Hopefully be aquiring 250ltrs of used oil next week and want to set a good cheap system up by the weekend.

It's just come down 10p in me local lidl to 109p. Peeps must have stopped buying it at 119.

If youve got a bookers by you and can get a discount card then 20ltrs of KTC Veg oil is £16.99 = 85p ish a ltr, just bought 40 ltrs to keep me going for the week.

I haven't and the nearest "wholesaler" is more expensive than the supermarkets:(

The only 20litre cans at my local bookers have got E900 Anti Foaming Agent Sh1te in them. So I got Euro shopper rapeseed 45 x 1 litre bottles. Bottles are PET and went into the recycle bin as did the boxes. I put 20l derv, 20l biodiesel and 40 l of rapeseed in. It takes a bit of starting (blip the throttle) and a bit of black smoke until it's warm (I swear it's the cr@ppy biodiesel) but runs fine when the engine is warmed up. Top tip, just b4 I dumped the bottles I scavenged the dregs out of each one and got another half litre of oil.

now done the first ten or so miles on pure oil, not a murmur or anything (although i expect most of the mileage was on the leftovers in the pipes and filter) but tis lookin quite promising! Smells LUVVELY!!!
