Now it’s stopped raining

I have replaced the now possibly faulty right rear right sensor with the new kit from LR.
Am I correct in thinking the Right Rear is looking from the drivers perspective?

Connected computer and with RSW software I get
06 RR signal incorrect …..
RSW latest download from site

This sensor has been in and out so many times now, tested it and new loom with a meter and all appears fine.
Connector and loom seem fine as far as I can see (the one on the car).

So stumped now, Could be the loom to the EAS computer I suppose

Would anyone have any ideas on this problem?

Other questions I would be very grateful for answers to with RSW software are

1. On the buttons marked EAS Unlock, does this really mean EAS fault re-set and are they all the same whichever section of the software you are in?
2. The Function section has a Lock EAS, Is this the same as the Lock EAS on the dash?
3. Get height section I get 255 in both front readings with the rears about the same at 97. Why when the fault is 06 RR sensor?

Fed up again now

Fred

Unlock EAS is the button that will clear the EAS Fault. There are several copies of the button in different parts of the software. They all will clear the EAS fault.

The Lock EAS button sends the EAS into fault mode. It is used for testing purposes.

You should never get a value of 255 in any of the stored heights. If you are getting a value of 255. Then try to read that height again. If after reading the height multiple times still results in a value of 255, then modify the one and two bytes delay. Increase the one and two byt delays by increments of 15.

Thank you Storey,

Just as I thought but wanted to clarify it.

Had another long play but I am unable to calibrate the new rear sensor.

So, with a heavy heart I have booked her in for the garage to sort out.

(My first of many failures I suppose)

I am told they have a set of jigs to set the base level at approx 100 and 105mm.
I have also downloaded a service sheet with a full description of how the EAS works. I am not going to let it beat me more than once per fault.

Once again many thank's

Fred
