Hello everyone,
Quick question. I have a 94 300tdi disco 1 3 door with steel wheels.
I recently acquired a set of 16 inch 3 spoke RRC alloys.
From the searches I have done it seems they will fit fine but I noticed a few people saying the weight may be too much for the wheels??
Apologies if this has been answered already, couldn't find a definite answer.
Please feel free to remove or relocate this thread if it's already been covered. Thanks for your advice.

Have a set on my 98 Disco chassis for moving it about while its being worked on, they fit ok. I would have thought the weight would not be a problem as a RRC would be about the same weight as a Disco, it would be different if you were putting them on a 110 though.

But they do look better on a RRC :D

RRC and Disco 1 have the same chassis/running gear ... I think the GVW of the RRC is slightly higher though. I've seen quite a few Disco's using those wheels over the years.

Many thanks for the replies.
My reason for doing this is that I'm getting some new tyres (grabber AT2's) and theyre worth about the same as the car.
If the car breaks I can just put the old steels and road tyres back on if need be.
The wheels were only £25 and with a lick of black paint should look ok but I agree they're not the nicest landy alloys!
