Hi all got a problem with my 3.0 diesel sport in which it randomly cuts out ,there's no bad or rough running with it and it starts straight back up. Had it on autocom diag and there's no fault codes at all in any of the systems ie gearbox immo etc. All I've done up to now it swapped some relays around in the fuse box for the fuel pump and ignition, but this hasn't helped. Anyone got any ideas .
Cheers alan.

Don't know wether the Sport suffers with the fuse box like other models. Can you smell burning when you lift the f/box cover?

Ring your local dealer, your VIN might be in the current P080 campain ( 3.0 V6 crank sensor recall)

Hi thanx for advice ,I rang the dealers and there's an outstanding recall on my car for crank sensor so it's going in on 2nd sept . Even better is for the first time the cars thrown a fault code up for crank sensor circuit fault. In previous code reads there have been no codes . The car is cutting out more frequently now but always starts back up . Just hope it lasts until Friday 2nd sept. When the jobs done I will report back on how it is performing.
Thanx to everyone that's took the time to reply up to now.
Alan.

Hi dose that mean the sensor is adjustable then . Past experience with crank sensor is they just fit in a hole with one bolt fixing. How do they align the two up .?

not adjustable, but a very fiddly job, you'll know if they have rushed the job as it just wont run right
