Hello Range Rover experts

I have just bought a 2007 3.8TDV8 HSE with 55K miles, FSH, it drives well but I have noticed that if a put my foot down hard there is quite alot of blackish smoke produced. The engine pulls well and the car was sold with a warranty, the engine does not smoke on idle and never having owned a ranger rover before I didnt know if this was usual?

Any advice greatly received

Hi ive noticed alot of disco tdv6 an sports smoke a bit when accelorating its down to the cats and particulat filters fitted on modern td engines, they just clear themselfs out under load

Good dose of injector cleaner, if it still does it then needs looking at further

good service and air filter change might sort it.Then a big dose of redex and a bit of boot on the mway should clear it.
