k's to t's are quite common in the rover world, so shouldnt be an issue, just mounts and loom, there is a bloke called glynn on rovertech that will convert looms for you!
That be me then!!!! ;-), thinking of this conversion in mine now, only quarm is if the ird and rear diff up to 200bhp??

Any idea what sort of power the 174 bhp V6 can get if it's 'tuned'?
Are we talking over 200Bhp?
Standard V6 Freelander 5dr does 0-60 in 10.1 seconds with the mandatory automatic gearbox.
Liking the idea of a donor car (Rover 220 turbo) boosting the 'Sport' TD4 Freelander which has got lowered shocks and fat tyres yet sounds like a Transit van. Yet the V6 sounds lovely
and from below the 220 Turbo engine has little benefit over the V6 other than weight/fuel economy?.
Here's a comparison of the engines:
reliability
Freelander V6 24v: 240 Nm/177 lb-ft torque & 174 bhp
Rover 220 Turbo 16v: 232 Nm/171 lb-ft torque & 197 bhp
