Just took the wagon for a run with the hawkeye connected, the wastegate reading never changed feom 0.00% no matter what gear or how hard the engine was working, would this be a sign that the app sensor is not working?

Maybe that's why johnlad said to clean it ... :scratching_chin::whoosh:

you need to disconnect the linkage on the turbo actuater arm, to check that the wastgate opens freely, it should move smoothly with finger pressure,
if ok then reconnect and take for a spin, with hawkeye connected what are your inlet manifold pressures, on full throttle, it should be around 230 kpa, if its not id change boost modulater after checking all hoses from turbo to inlet manifold for air leaks, also when fault occours does it smoke

Cheers, car now sorted, was a problem with wastegate, thanks to rockingham landrover who sorted me out gratis. Just have to get this aap sensor (eBay) job jobbed

think i said for you to check that

You did, also my hawkeye said as much, rockingham landrovers double checked by hooking it up to there super duper £30 grand diagnostic computer and confirmed, and fitted a new pipe and clip to the wastegate sensor
