Did you put any gunk on it as well? After replacing the rocker cover gasket on my 300 a few months ago due to it leaking it seems to be leaking again
I used an allmakes OEM gasket last time and cleaned the surfaces well
Any suggestions?
Are you sure it didn't slip a bit when you put it on?No just the gasket
Just checked in RAVE, it doesn't mention any gunk. All it says is to do the bolts up to the correct torque and that the rocker cover seals can only be used up to 5 times. No just the gasket

i seem to remember I had the same problem. Just ignored it as they all leak!
But I'd follow @lynall 's advice re the D shaped parts of the gasket.
As for sealant, I think I'd use RTV silicone stuff.
Others will have their favourites.
Blu hylomar, Wellseal, basically anything that can move a little.Old chestnut raises its head again, to RTV or not to RTV ? or Hylomar ??
Persistent weep at rear of rocker cover (They all do that sir!!!!)
Grasping at straws now, new turners cover ordered, genuine Gasket and bolt seals
